Toll Invoices by Mail or Email
Toll invoices are an alternative payment option for customers who choose not to open a NC Quick Pass account.
Customers receive a toll invoice in the mail addressed to the vehicle registered through their state’s DMV.
If you do not pay in full by the due date, the unpaid toll transactions will be subject to processing fees and civil penalties on following toll invoices and may be sent to collections.
Failure to pay tolls, processing fees and civil penalties is grounds for a vehicle registration hold through the DMV. The registration hold will not be released until the balance is paid in full.
NC Quick Pass offers multiple payment options for your toll travel. The easiest way to pay is on the NC Quick Pass website.

If you have a NC Quick Pass account, you may receive an invoice if you traveled in the I-77 Express and did not meet the HOV requirements.
You could receive an invoice if your transponder is not detected on the toll facility and the license plate is not listed on your account. Transponders typically are not detected because they are installed improperly. Visit our installation instructions to make sure your transponder is installed correctly.

If your account balance has insufficient funds, NC Quick Pass automatically suspends your account, deactivates your transponder, and notifies you by mail or email.
