Bill by Email

Customers participating in the Bill by Mail program can opt-in to receive their invoices by email instead of through the U.S. Postal Service.

Invoices delivered through the Bill by Email option follow the same guidelines and policies as invoices delivered by U.S. mail. If the invoice is not paid by the due date, the vehicle’s registered owner may have to pay late fees, could face civil penalties and/or DMV registration holds, and could have their debt turned over to a collection agency.

Start receiving invoices to your email instead of in the mail. Here’s how: 

• Visit the Pay Now page    
• Enter the required information to search for your invoice. You can use your invoice number or license plate number 

• Under the Bill by Email section, tap the toggle button to opt-in and agree to terms and conditions 
• Enter your email address  
• Select Save 

Success! You’re signed up to receive future invoices by email. You will receive a confirmation at the email address you entered. 

If NC Quick Pass can’t deliver your invoice to the email address you provided for the Bill by Email option, you will begin receiving your invoices through U.S. mail again. If you would like to receive your invoices by email, you must opt in again to the Bill by Email option with a valid email address and agree to the Bill by Email terms and conditions.

If you use the Bill by Email option, you can update your email address after searching for your invoice. Here’s how: 

• Visit the Pay Now page    
•  Enter the required information to search for your invoice. You can use your invoice number or license plate number 
• Under the Email Address section, select the Update Email Address link  
• Enter your email address  
• Select Save 

If you decide to opt-out of Bill by Email you will receive future invoices in the mail.  

If you would like to opt-out of Bill by Email, here’s how: 

• Visit the Pay Now page    
•  Enter the required information to search for your invoice. You can use your invoice number or license plate number 
• Under the Bill by Email section, tap the toggle button to opt-out
