Out-of-State Toll Programs

    • Can I use my E-ZPass, SunPass or Peach Pass transponder on North Carolina toll roads?

Yes. North Carolina currently accepts E-ZPass, SunPass and Peach Pass transponders as a method of payment on North Carolina toll roads. These transponders, along with NC Quick Pass transponders, receive the lowest toll rate on all North Carolina toll roads. Prior to traveling on North Carolina toll roads, make sure your vehicle license plate is registered on your E-ZPass, SunPass or Peach Pass account to ensure compatibility.

E-ZPass, SunPass, and Peach Pass customers are encouraged to check with their toll agency's customer service center for any account requirements related to interoperability.

Customers with a Virginia E-ZPass Flex, Maryland E-ZPass Flex or MTA Bridges and Tunnels HOV (Staten Island Carpool HOV E-ZPass) transponder are able to travel toll-free in the I-77 Express Lanes when the transponder is switched to HOV status, and the occupancy requirement posted has been met.
