When you sign up with NC Quick Pass, you can either link your account to a credit or debit card and have your personal or business account funds replenished automatically. Or you can manually pay and replenish your account.
Automatic Payments
You can add up to three credit or debit cards to your account by logging into your online account or by calling the NC Quick Pass Customer Service Center.
Your credit or debit card is charged automatically when your account drops to a threshold amount. The amount varies, depending on whether the account is personal or business and, if a business account, the number of transponders associated with it.
NC Quick Pass evaluates the toll usage on the account after the first 30 days from the account opening date and adjusts the replenishment level. After the initial 30 days, NC Quick Pass automatically adjusts the threshold amount quarterly, based on average monthly toll usage. There is no fee for this secure and convenient service.
It is important to keep your credit or debit card information current so that sufficient funds are available to replenish your account.
Manual Payments
Manual payments require you to monitor your account to be sure sufficient funds are always available. You will be notified when the account balance reaches the threshold amount. You are responsible for replenishing your balance prior to the account reaching a zero balance.
If your account balance reaches -$10, you will be notified and your account suspended. (Additional toll charges will be invoiced and mailed through the Bill by Mail program.) To reinstate your NC Quick Pass account, you must pay all toll charges, processing fees and civil penalties (if applicable) and replenish your account.
You can make payments online, by calling 877-7MY-PASS, by mail or in person at an NC Quick Pass Customer Service Center.
